Plant height is an important factor in wheat production; the discovery and utilization of dwarfing genes enabled the wheat production of the world to increase continuously. Therefore, the continuous excavation, studies and use of dwarf gene is very important to high-yield wheat breeding.In this study, the dwarf wheat variety "Hua Dwarf01" and high wheat variety "90592" were used parents to produce F2population for mapping the gene controlling the dwarfing trait population, using SSR (simple sequence repeat) technology.In this study,904pairs of primers were used.160pairs generated polymorphism fragment between the parents. In addition,4pairs, barc1096, Xgwm495, Xgwm513, WMC657were polymorphic between the high and dwarf DNA bulks, suggesting that these primers are the candidate markers associated the dwarfing gene in "Hua Dwarf01". Since the4pairs of primers was all lacated on the long arm of wheat chromosome4B, it could be determined that dwarf genes in "Hua Dwarf01"might be on the long arm of wheat chromosome4B.Of the25dwarfing genes that had been discovered and named,17dwarfing genes had been mapped on the chromosomes. Six dwarfing genes were on the wheat chromosome4B, specifically, all on4B short arms. No dwarfing gene on the long arm of wheat chromosome4B had been discovered and named. Since the candidate makers associated with the dwarfing gene in "Hua Dwarf01" were on4B long arm, it suggested that the dwarfing gene in "Hua Dwarf01" might be a new gene.Therefore, the location of the gene and the identification of the molecular markers will provide markers for marker-assistant breeding in wheat, and further characterize the gene.In addition to the role of wheat dwarfing genes, the cell walls’ components of wheat stem may also have a strong influence on the lodging. In this study, the cell wall components of the "Hua Dwart01" and the high wheat variety "90592" were compared and analyzed.The components of "Norin10","Hua Dwarf01" and high wheat variety "90592" were compared and analyzed. The relative content of cellulosewere "90592"<"Norin10"<"Hua Dwarf01". The total content of hemicellulose also were wheat variety "90592"<"Norin10"<"Hua Dwarf01". As for lignin, there was not a regular change in the total content, while the relative content of acid-soluble lignin increased sequentially. Therefore, stem mechanical strength may be mainly related to the relative content of the cell wall cellulose and hemicellulose, but the relationship with lignin content was not obvious.
