With the process of urbanization, the rapid increase in the number of cars, thephenomenon of urban road congestion everywhere, which cause noise to appear, the timedoes not affect human life. One effective way to reduce noise is planting trees, trees are notonly important in urban traffic landscape, but also with the absorption of dust, clean the air,reduce noise, and other functions. How scientific evaluation of trees in reducing noiseamong the features discussed crown, diameter, number of leaves, stem height and othercharacteristics affecting factors and the relationship between the trees, is the current urbanroad greening focus of attention. In this study, examining and collating relevant literature,based on the analysis of the basic trees reduce noise propagation characteristics; Nanchangtrees through the application of sound barriers and social recognition investigation andanalysis of several trees selected for the study, through computer-related sound editingsoftware, it reduces noise sound samples before and after the analysis and evaluation ofdifferent trees species to clarify the effect of noise reduction, a reasonable choice for thetrees planted to provide a reference. The main research results are as follows:(1) Species number of leaves is more dense, the greater the crown,the lower the trunk,the stronger noise reduction.(2) Survey showed that89%of respondents have expressed very receptive to landscapeusing trees to reduce the noise of the city roads, the use of the application of noisereduction sound barrier plants have good prospects, ecological, economic and socialbenefits significantly.(3) Taking into account road traffic trees urban greening width limited circumstances,namely to maintain a constant distance between species under the premise of street treespecies chosen for this study in noise reduction capabilities from strong to weak wasmagnolia, camphor, laurel, sylvestris.(4) By extracting the noise characteristics of noise factors and after selecting acomprehensive analysis of sound samples, indicating that the lower branches, crown largerleaves more dense broadleaf forest as trees, can effectively reduce the urban road trafficnoise, reduce traffic noise impact on people’s production and life.
