The research focused on the chemical basis for the flower colour development of16kinds of monocot blue flowering plants. The methods of Inductively Coupled Plasma MassSpectrometry (ICP-MS), High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and pH meterwere used in this research. We studied the type and content of petals flavonoids, the metalelement and pH values from the taxonomic point of view and the monomer plant angle.Themain findings are as follows:1.The anthocyanin and flavonol of16kinds of monocot blue flowering plants petalswere analyzed. We detected two kinds of anthocyanins and four kinds of flavonols, theywere Delphinidin,Cyanidin, Dihydromyricetin, Myricetin, Quercetin and Kaempferolrespectively.2.We analyzed the metal content of Mg,Al,Ca,Mn,Fe,Cu,Zn,Cd in the blue flowerpetals. The results showed that the Ca and Mg element contents are very rich in the16kindsof monocot blue flowering plants petals, followed by Fe,Al,Mn,Zn,Cu element, and the lowestmetal element was Cd.3.We measured the pH values of the16monocot blue flower petal cell sap.The resultsshowed that the pH values of these16plants petals was in the range of5.42to6.52,themaximum appears in the Muscari neglectum petal, and the pH value of Iris lacteavar.chinensis petal was the lowest of16species.4.The research analysis the type and content of flavonoids in the16kinds of themonocot blue flowering plants petals. The results showed that:(1)The two species ofPontederiaceae accumulated Delphinidin and Cyanidin, and the content ratio of this wasabout2:1.(2)The Iridaceae three plants petals only contained Delphinidin.(3)Theaccumulation of Myricetin in the colored petals of three Iridaceae plants was significant, farhigher than other species.5.From the comparation of the type and content of metal elements,we found that:(1)TheMn element content was extremely rich in the two species of Pontederiaceaeaccumulated.(2)The colored petals of16kinds of the monocot blue flowering plants all get alot of accumulation of Mg elements.6.We also analysis the pH values of plants petals. The results showed that the6species of Asparagaceae plants all have a high pH values, which are no less than6.00and are ahead ofthe test plant material.7.We compared the chemical basis of16species from the monomer plant point ofview, and choose some representative plants for further analysis. The results showed that:(1)The Ca content in Tradescantia albiflora petals is extremely high(5120.89μg·g-1),the keypigments were Cyanidin (6.6711mg·g-1) and Delphinidin (0.6744mg·g-1).(2)The Al content inIris lactea var.chinensis petals was rich(341.36μg·g-1), the main color pigment was onlyCyanidin and has a very high content of Myricetin (3)The Fe content in Muscari azureum isextremely high(1837.71mg/kg),the anthocyanin content was0.5385mg/g,the ratio wasca.3.4.(4)The Mg element content of Scilla Siberica was similar to Commelina. Communis, the type and content of anthocysnin were also similar.By exploring the factors that affecting the color formation of16monocot blue floweringplants,we are aiming to provide theoretical basis for blue flower color development andbreeding.
