The weather is arid and cold of northern in winter. There are less evergreen species sowhen green roads and parks, evergreen ormamental trees are scarce. Therefore, the coldassessment about the newly discoverd good breeding and wintering hardy evergreen specieswill lay the foundation of reporting and promotion.Hybrid evergreen euonymus are newvarieties of evergreen who hybrids from Euonymus japonicus ‘Cu zhi’ and mised pollen of E.kiautschovicus and E. fortunei in Beijing. The varieties are characterized by a greater resistanceto cold, can remian evergreen in Beijing during winter, and can foster the tufted single dry. Therefore, we believe that the hybrids in the Beijing area landscaping has broad marketprospects. This study investigated the morphological, physiological and biochemical changes ofthree offspring new varieties of Celastraceae and the parents E. japonicas, paternal E.kiautschovicus, E. fortune from the condition of field growth conditions, cell membranepermeability, membrane lipid peroxidation, soluble protein content, soluble sugar and starchcontent, free proline content, protective enzyme activities,semi-lethal temperature to exaninetheir anti-cold mechanisms and their the cold hardiness. The study found the following points:1.Under natural wintering process, the SOD,POD of the cells of the six varieties over thetime decreased and then rised than regular changes. E. japonicas protective enzymes changessmallest. E. fortunei protective enzymes changes biggest.2. Under natural wintering process, membrane lipid oxidation products MDA content ofthe six varieties first increased then decreased over the time. Changes in amplitude of E.japonicus variation is minimum, E. kiautschovicus and E. fortunei variations large.Newvarieties of hybrid changed slightly, and were lower than their parents in February which thelowest temperature. 3. Under natural wintering process, the soluble protein contents of the six varieties overthe time decreases first and then increased, while backing down.E. japonicus high proteincontent than other varieties, and large amplitude.Protein content of3#is minimun during thewinter.1#and2#is lower than E. japonicus, but the change in amplitude than3#.4. Under natural wintering process, the soluble sugar contents of the six varieties over thetime decreases first and then increased, while backing down. The soluble sugar conents of E.japonicus than other varieties.Three new varieries of hybrid soluble sugar content of less thanE. japonicus. The soluble sugar contents of E. fortunei is lowest.5. Under natural wintering process, the starch contents of the six varieties over the timeincreased first and then decreased, and then increased.the The starch contents of2#than othervarieties.6. Under natural wintering process, the proline contents of the six varieties over the timeincreased first and then decreased. The proline contents of new varieties were higher than thoseof their parents in February and March, lower in April. The proline contents of E. japonicuswere lower than tothers in March.7.Under artificial low temperature condition,The relative conductivity of six speciesincreases with decreasing temperature. The relative conductivity of E. japonicus lower thanother varieties, indicating that the cell membrane have being damaged small.8.By logistic equation, the semi-lethal temperature of new varieties are lower than theirparents,so their hardiness is higher than parents. The semi-lethal temperture of new hybridvarieties which are-36℃,-32℃and-28℃are lower than their parents, indicating theirhardiness higher than parents.Based on the above findings,by comprehensive analysis of menbership function of fuzzymathematics about various physiological of hardiness, the sequence is3#,1#,2#, E. fortunei,E. kiautschovicus, E. japonicus.
