Through field sampling and laboratory test, we investigate the correlation analysis ofvegetation coverage, species richness, aboveground biomass, chemical properties ofbiomass and soil protozoan abundance in eastern tibetan plateau including Gannan TibetanAutonomous Prefecture, He Zuo, Lu Qu, Ma Qu. The result show that:①Altitudecorrelates to species vegetation coverage, soil moisture content, soil acidity, soil protozoanabundance, but has little correlation with the aboveground biomass, oil organic carbon, total nitrogen and total phosphorus. Soil water content increase, soil pH value varygradually from slightly alkaline to weak acidity, soil protozoan abundance also graduallyincreased along the altitudinal gradient, however, soil organic carbon, total nitrogen andtotal phosphorus changes little.②Aboveground biomass correlates to vegetationcoverage and soil moisture content significantly, but have little correlation with plantrichness. High soil water content is conducive to plant growth in alpine meadow, and thegrowth of plants would affect the size of the aboveground biomass. Aboveground biomasscorrelates to soil organic carbon, total nitrogen and total phosphorus significantly. Themore plentiful the conditions of plant photosynthesis and energy exchange, the greater theproduction of aboveground biomass. Soil protozoa and total nitrogen content in soilsignificantly correlates with vegetation coverage. The more soil organic component contentof the plant, the more plentiful the energy and the greater the vegetation coverage, especially the more influence of the content of total nitrogen on vegetation coverage. plantlitter increased the soil moisture and temperature and it provides a more appropriatesurrounding to soil protozoa.③In alpine meadow, soil protozoa showed a negativecorrelation with soil pH, indicating that soil protozoa is sensitive to pH value of soil.Acidic soil will reduce soil protozoa richness, however, nitrogen and phosphorus in the soilorganic carbon have little change, and its need for soil water content is significant. The purpose of this study is the influence of soil protozoa on vegetation coverage, species richness, aboveground biomass, and so on along the elevation. We explore thechange rule of the aboveground biomass of plant communities of different altitude alongdifferent conditions (soil moisture and soil nutrient) and analysis the correlation amongplant species richness, biomass soil, soil physical and chemical properties and protozoa, which lay foundation for recovery and reconstruction of grassland ecosystem.
