In order to comprehensive understanding the carbon cycle and the influence ofthe microbial communities after the effects of introduction of Alnus trabeculosa, theeffects on the abundance and diversity in Alnus trabeculosa-Phragmites australismixed communities and P. australis monoculture community in Chongxi wetlandwere analyzed in this paper. Using GC,we investigated the methanogenic activityand methane oxidation activity;Using real-time PCR, we investigated functionalgene abundances of methanogen and methanotroph. Using DGGE,we investigatedcommunity structure of methanogen and methanotroph. The main results aresummarized as follows:1)After the introduction of A.trabeculosa, the content of organic matter, totalnitrogen and total carbon had risen significantly, and the effects on physicochemicalproperty of rhizosphere soils in P.australis community were more thannon-rhizosphere ones.2)After the introduction of A.trabeculosa, the effects of methane oxidation activitywere not significantly. The methane-producing activities in P.australis communitywere inhibited.3)After the introduction of A.trabeculosa, the abundance of methanogens, methaneoxidative bacteria all rose.4)The results show that after the introduction of A.trabeculosa, the diversity ofmethanogens decreased, There was no significant difference between layers ofmethanogenesis in the non-rhizosphere communities, methane oxidative bacteriadiversity in rhizosphere on P.australis community has no significantly changed, themethane oxidizing bacteria were to Type Ⅰ.
