With the extending of mulch film planting techniques in Xinjiang, the area ofmulch keeps growing, which has been an important Oasis landscape. In2010, thearea of mulch film was1.85×106hm2, accounting for about40%of acreage inXinjiang. There is no doubt that so large-scale mulch film will has some effect on theecosystem of Xinjiang. Based on MODIS’s data of NDVI in Xinjiang between2001and2010, This paper extracts the remote-sensing information of mulch film andanalyzes its spatial and temporal distribution. This paper consist of five main parts:The results showed that:(1) The spectral curve is affected by changes in land covered under themembrane crop growth and soil water content is large, the film only from the spectralcharacteristics of the land is difficult to extract more accurate.(2) The use of harmonic analysis of time series (HANTS) can be good forXinjiang vegetation index time series data sets de-noising, reconstruction, get36T ayear in Xinjiang late vegetation index time series data sets.(3)The use of land covered spectral characteristics and NDVI time series, decision tree classification model can effectively extract the film land remote sensinginformation extraction accuracy of86.6%.(4)The spatial pattern of land covered by the analysis found: longitude, coveredland mainly in the east longitude80°-85°region, an area of9.48×105hm2accountingfor51.03%of the total land area covered; latitude, covered the land mainly in thelatitude40°-45°region, an area of1.38×106hm2, accounting for74.37%of the totalmulch land area.(5) Covered the land surface temperature is lower than the bare ground, abovethe vegetation, farmland and water in general, the warming effect of the spatialdistribution is uneven, also vary during the day and night.(6) In2001to2010years, the growth rate of land area covered was5.7×105hm2,the total growth rate of44.26%, which Tacheng is the largest increase, by161.65%.(7)The impact analysis method using gray land area covered dynamic drivingfactors were analyzed, the results showed that the area of cultivated land change andchanges in the structure of the cotton grown on the land area covered changesaffecting the largest correlation coefficient of0.9679and0.9402respectively.
