Studies On the five species from Gigartinales: Chondrus nipponicus Yendo, Mazzaellajaponica (Mikami) Hommersand, Gracilaria textorii (Suring) De Toni, Ahnfeltiopsisflabelliformis (Harv.) Masuda, Grateloupia orientalis S.-M. Lin et H.-Y.Liang asexperimental materials, are conducted indoors under controlled culture conditions, morphological observation these five algae of early developmental stages, found it includedthe germination of the carpospores, discoid body growth to expand and grow erect thalli, theformation of tetrasporaphite and the germination of the tetrasporangia. The study not only clear the life history of the five species, also mastered the variousstages of the life history of a different temperature, light intensity, and at the same time bycontrolling its laboratory culture conditions. The study will further enrich the the five speciesbreeding biology and life cycle characteristics, provided the important theoretical evidence forgermplasm preservation and artificial culture.Through the developmental process of observation on the five species of Gigartinalesfound:Five species of early development are basically similar, mainly all consist of the earlydivision stage, The formation stage of discoid and erect thalli. Among Chondrus nipponicus,Mazzaella japonica, Gracilaria textorii are "directly discal type". While the Ahnfeltiopsisflabelliformis, Grateloupia orientalis are "indirect discal type".Under different temperature and light intensity conditions on the five species ofcarpospore and tetraspore early growth and development experiments show that, the differenttemperature and light intensity on the early development of the spores have a significantimpact on which:(1) When the light intensity is appropriate, temperature20℃discoid body and erect thalligrowth of a suitable temperature,15℃the slow-growing,10℃even below10℃cease togrow;(2) Under room temperature, the low-light conditions more suitable for growth of the discoidbody and erect thalli, The glare will destroy the frond pigment formation and inhibit thegrowth of algae.
