Zanthoxylum micranthum Hemsl. belongs to Rutaceae and Zanthoxylum, its a new record of plants inZhejiang Province. Z. micranthum. has ornamental, culinary, medicinal, and ecological values. In thispaper, community structure and variety of species, structure of population and spatial pattern, adaptability (drought tolerance and salt tolerance) and breeding technology were studied, which arehelpful to provide data supporting and theoretical basis for greening lime rock area, building coastalshelter belts and garden application. And here’s the results:(1) The results showed that there were abundant species diversity in this community and mixed ofvascular species belonging to70families,121genera,166species were found. The characteristics offloristic interims were obvious. According to Raunkiaer’s classification, phanerophytes accounted forthe greatest number is63.69%, the amount of other classification is less. The complicated verticalstructure could be divided into tree layer, shrub layer and herb layer, as well as a definite number ofinter stratum plants. The species richness indices Simpson’s indices, Pielou’s indices andShannon-Wiener’s indices of tree layer were the biggest. While those of shrub layer and herb layer werethe second and the smallest respectively. The results of population character of structure and spatial distribution pattern of Z. micranthumHemsl.: the middle-aged individual take39.48%in population of Z. micranthum Hemsl.; young treestake37.88%, the least is aging tree take22.64%. The survival rate of the middle-aged tree is highest, death rate and disappearance rate is low; the death rate and disappearance rate of the aging tree ishighest, the survival rate is low; the young tree constitutes a moderate proportion. The distributionpattern of Z. micranthum Hemsl. showed an uniform distribution in altitude of250m,300m,400m anda random distribution in altitude of350m.(2) The impact of drought stress on Z. micranthum Hemsl. is following: it can bear soil moisturecontent29.7%~40%. When the soil moisture content less than29.7%, it will be die.The impact of salt stress on Z. micranthum Hemsl. is following: the concentration of salt of soil is atleast0.2%, which will be ready to develop normally; the concentration of salt of soil is among0.2%~ 0.4%, which still live. But, when the concentration of salt of soil greater than0.4%, it will be die.(3) Hardwood cottage experiments of Z. micranthum Hemsl. showed that the highest survival rate issoaked in200mg/L NAA for60min, and planted on the2/3vermiculite and1/3loam stroma, that is86.67%and35d.Seed germination experiments of Z. micranthum Hemsl. showed that the maximal germination rate issulfuric acid treatment for4min, concentrations of GA3600mg/L, and gemmiparous temperature30℃, that is85.6%.
