The research firstly and domestically used pipe cultivating facilities on urban rooftopenvironments and set planting pipes which filled with solid substrates and drip irrigation on non-soilurban building rooftop to plant edible, ornamental and economic horticulture plants which likefast-growing pakchoi, borecole and cherry tomato to verified the feasibility of combination ofagricultural production and tourism on urban unused building rooftop. It researched the structure ofcultivating pipe and pipelines system corresponding to the varieties of vegetables were researched; theway of fast recoverying the physical and chemical properties of the substrates were researched; theparameters for efficient using of natural resources and fertilizer and water accurate resupplying wereresearched. A application model and theoretical base for popularizing this cultivation model weresetted. Injected20.05g Ca(NO32,9.98g KNO3,13.43g KH2PO4,13.43g carbamide and98.5mlmicroelements into one pipe at one time, used200mm diameter PVC pipes and300mm plantingholes spacing, corrected pH value and porosity of ventilation of substrates in later stage, this researchfound that in thus way, we can constantly planted “Huangfei” cherry tomato from August toDecember,“Zige” borecole from December to April next year, and “Zaoshu5” from April to Julywithout fertilizer resupplying, only using recovered rainwater for irrigation. Visual effect and yieldwere close to or even better than traditional soil cultivating in the same climate, achieved the purposeof enjoying and producing economic benefits.
