Seasonal wind-sand desertification issue, directly affecting the living environment, productionenvironment and ecological environment, in sub-humid and humid area of extratropical belt, where there are large population and flourishing economy, however, has not yet attractedsufficient attention. Until today, the status of wind desertification in Shandong Yellow RiverFloodplain wind-sand region has not yet been comprehensively investigated, and there is nodetailed data on overall status. Therefore, it is of important significance to carry out theinvestigation on wind desertification and ecological development in Shandong Yellow RiverFlood plain sand region. The issues of wind-sand desertification and soil erosion in Shandong Yellow River Floodplain sand region are representative and typical in sub-humid and humid floodplain wind-sandregion. The thesis carried out investigation of status of wind desertification and developmentin the Shandong Yellow River flood plain wind-sand area, through extensive and in-depthresearch, comprehensive grasp of the current situation and historical position of the sand andwind erosion, in order to summarize the method of construction of the ecological andachievement, and provide the basis for the future of the region to carry out the govanance ofwind-sand area and the soil and water conservation, and provide scientific reference for theecological construction of floodplain sand areas.According to the investigation, main conclusions are drawn as follow,(1) Wind-sand desertification areas of Shandong Yellow River flood plain sand area aremainly located in the old course of the Yellow River and the Yellow River irrigation canalzone, and the typical erosion is wind erosion. In2010, the wind erosion areas severer thanthe mild level measure8100.59km2, accounting for15.89%of the total land area. Amongthem, the mild wind erosion area3919.91km2,7.69%of the total area; moderate winderosion area3292.15km2,6.46%of the total area; intensity of wind erosion area of888.53km2,1.74%of the total area. Severe wind erosion in the region, has resulted in a seriesof ecological problems like land degradation, shortage of water and land resources, the spreadof sand, and the deterioration of the environment etc., and seriously affected the normal production and life of the people, and restricts the sustainable development of the localeconomic.(2) In the years from1988to2000, sand sheet area varied from3000to5000km2, amongwhich, Heze, Liaocheng, and Dezhou City accounted an occupied portion. Due to thedifferent statistical methods, the data obtained are quite different.(3) The local governments involved in wind san area carried out effective rectification. Fromthe first soil erosion census on, an area of3882km2of sand soil erosion has rectified, accounting for11.2%of the total area, and76.1%of the total area of soil erosion. Amongthem, soil preparation and soil improvement1084.50km2, sand-fixing forest425.73km2, fruittrees423.14km2, farmland shelterbelts1189.24km2, and35551water conservation projectslike the construction of wells have been constructed.(4) Research of wind-sand desertation and soil erosion are still puzzles, and that show asfollows, the data is still far from comprehensive, and research tools and monitoringtechniques should be strengthened, less prevalence of Soil and Water Conservationdepartment and technical personnel, and technical strength is weak, and professional structureis not complete, the lack of the necessary scientific equipment. Urgent need to carry out soiland water conservation monitoring, due to the lack of soil erosion monitoring equipment, cannot be satisfied. Soil erosion is difficult to forecast early, and the soil erosion foundation isunclear, the effect of soil erosion control reflects are unknown, decision-making of water andsoil erosion. These problems need to be reversed as soon as possible.
