Using split plot experiment design in which wheat straw counters-field set area isprimary plot and two maize varieties are sub-plot districts, we studied the whole corn plantgrowth at different development stages of fresh/dry matter yield, nutritional quality of cows,soil nutrient content, economic benefit calculation and energy flow analysis, discussed theeffects of returning wheat straw on the nutritional quality of the maize, and we studied theeconomic benefit and energy flow of the two maize varieties. The main research results asfollows are:1. The effects of wheat straw counters-field set on different maize yield and the yieldcomponentsFor straw yield, the XD26processing fresh material accumulation of returning wheatstraw is9.84%higher than that of non-returning one on average, while, this phenomenon isalso happened on ZD958in which15.2%gap between returning wheat straw andnon-returning one. For dry matter accumulation, XD26wheat straw of returning is9.06%higher than that of the non-returning. For grain yield, wheat straw counters-field set of XD26and ZD958are respectively higher15.6%and7.2%than wheat straw non-returning ones,and ZD958on the condition of straw counters-field processing can reach the highest grainyield.2. Wheat straw counters-field set affects plant nutrition on the different varieties ofmaizeStraw returning could significantly increase the selected two varieties of maize plants inthe content of crude protein, crude fat and the content of nitrogen free extract, decrease NDF,ADF, hemicellulose and crude ash content. After flowering, there is a downtrend on straw’scrude protein, crude fat, hemicellulose crude ash and nitrogen free extract.Plant’s optimalnutrition treatment is wheat straw counters-field set of ZD958. Based on the yield and thequality of nutrition, the best harvest periods are XD26which is in26September11(ratooning buds) and ZD958which is in September21,958(ripening period). 3. Wheat straw counters-field set affects the soil and fertilizerSoil moisture content, the nitrogen content and organic matter content mostly contain inthe topsoil (0~20cm), while20~40cm and40~60cm soil layer have no significant difference;as the result, wheat straw counters-field set increased soil nitrogen and organic matter content.4. The calculations of different economic benefit on the different handlings.Through calculation, we found that the two varieties of maize have different periods ofmaximum economic benefit. XD26due to its higher production of whole plant fresh materialand lower grain yield reaches supreme of economic benefit at milk stage harvest, while,Zheng958with higher grain yield, lower production of whole plant fresh material, can obtainthe best economic benefit on the period of the grain mature period of the full maturity.5. The energy flow and the material conversion efficiency of different handlingsThrough the research, we found that the artificial auxiliary’s input of the corn field is low,the inorganic input is high, the artificial auxiliary and organic input level are lower; as theresult, it influents the quality of the soil to some extent. For the material conversion efficiency,the output/input ratios of N, P and K are less than1, the three kinds of nutrient’s convertefficiency are low in which inorganic input is far more than the organic input, which is theunreasonable structure. Due to the lower organic composition and the higher inorganiccomposition in the soil, in the long term, the farmland soil organic matter balance could bethreatened, could lead to soil harden, plant diseases and pests increase, fertility decline, etc.
