To investigate the effects of composite plant extract on growth performance in grass carp, it is to serve the aquaculture feed development and production. Four test groups were used, which consisted of control group,0.05%,0.10%and0.15%composite plant extract addition group.300grass carps with similar body weight (89.00±1.7)g were randomly allotted to four groups with three replicates and25grass carps in each replicate and fed68d. The results showed as follows.1. Effects of the compound plant extract on growth index in grass carp. Weight gain rate increased significantly by adding composition plant extract.0.05%extract increased3.75%compared with the control group(P<0.05). The viscerosomatic index was reduced significantly in the compound plant extract, and0.05%was the best level (P<0.05).0.05%extract reduced3.29%(P<0.05) compared with the control group, the other group was not obvious (P>0.05). Grass carp fish body effect was significant in the compound plant extract.0.10%extract increased12.00%(P<0.05) compared with control group.The other group to add protein content has increased but not obvious (P>0.05). Fish body fat was increased significantly in0.05%and0.10%.They increased84.33%(P<0.05) and77.61%(P<0.05). Foregut intestine protease, amylase and lipase vigor was increased significantly in the compound plant extract0.10%,0.10%and0.05%.They increased13.11%,23.10%and38.52%respectively compared with the control group. Midgut intestine protease, amylase and lipase vigor was increased significantly in the compound plant extract0.05%,0.10%and0.05%.They increased31.01%,30.26%and17.31%respectively compared with the control group. Villus height and width was increased significantly in0.05%. They increased11.96%(P>0.05) and24.50%(P<0.05) compared with control group.2. There were Effects of the composite plant extract on immune organs and blood biochemical in grass carps. Head kidney and spleen index were increased significantly in0.05%.They increased74.36%and42.11%respectively. TP,ALB,Glu, AST did not increased obviously (P>0.05).UREA reduced significantly in plant extracts. They reduced27%(P<0.05),18.57%(P<0.05),14.35%(P>0.05). Serum total SOD activity increased siginificantly in plant extracts. They increased31.09%,24.29%and14.55%respectively. The MDA content decreased5.47%,13.41%and5.47%respectively. Plant compound extract significantly affect serum LSZ activity (P<0.05), comparing with the control, they increased16.96%(P<0.05), decreased by2.83%(P>0.05), and by6.36%(P>0.05) respectively.; Plant extracts affected serum CAT activity (P<0.05), compared with the control group, the CAD activity increased11.29%(P<0.05), decreased6.49%(P>0.05), and8.59%(P>0.05) respectively.
