Rice lodging is one of the limiting factors of rice steady high yield. Lodging often makes it difficult to harvest and influences rice quality, so it is very necessary to strengthen the study of rice lodging in breeding. Currently, Rice blast is one of the great fungal diseases and occurs seriously in main area threatening the national food security. Brown planthopper is an important migratory pest to rice production and occurs since1970. In2005,2006and2007the pest broke out in China bringing huge losses to the production of rice. Practice has proved that the breeding and application of multi-resistant rice varieties is an economic and effective mode of present agriculture production.In this study, lodging resistant material R666was used as the recipient parent and was crossed or back crossed with TMQ10242(harboring Pil gene) and YAQ10242(harboring Pi2gene) which used as resistant donor parents for blast. R666was also crossed or back crossed with B5(harboring Bph14、Bph15) and Hua15(harboring Bph14、Bph15), used as donor parents of brown planthopper.In heterozygous gene generations SSR primer RM224、RM527、RM5665、15-6were used to select gene Pil、Pi2、Bph14、Bph15, respectively. We chose better plant lines which contained resistant genes to the next generation according to the agronomic traits. During the breeding period we did the identification of resistance lines and investigation of agronomic traits. At last we set up a batch of restorer lines which were resistant to lodging and blast or BPH.The following are the main results:1. Using molecular assisted-selection and main agronomic traits survey of the different generations, we got80plant lines, among which30lines harboring Pi2,15lines harboring Pil,10lines harboring genotype Bph14、Bph15,11lines harboring genotype Pil、Pi2,14lines harboring genotype Pi2、Bph14、Bph15.These lines can be used as important breeding materials.2. Results from2013related to blast resistance in Yuan’an and Enshi showed that plant lines harboring resistance gene Pil or Pi2were MR-R to blast, were improved evidently than their recipient parent R666.Combinations made by the six lines were also improved evidently in blast resistance.3. From the resistance results of Brown planthopper in2013, we knew that plant lines harboring genotype Bph14、Bph15as well as their derived combinations were hardly harmed with resistance level R-HR.4. Lodging-resistant results showed that most of the created lines and their combinations were improved in different level better than Yang liang you6hao and Feng liang you xiang1hao.5. Through this experiment we found one middle-season rice combination, Hua1015S/XJ12180-1,which had good growth period、lodging resistance、high yield、good rice quality and were MR to blast. The next we will try to produce more hybrid seeds and do production test.
