| Ustilago maydis belongs to the group of biotrophic parasites that depend onliving tissue for proliferation and development. This experiment by constructing znf9gene overexpression of mutant strain of Ustilago maydis, increased znf9geneexpression observed whether have an impact in the developmental stages of spores ofbefore infection and after infestation in maize host developmental stage, and theninitial speculation function of znf9gene in the Ustilago maydis development.Theexperimental results show that the liquid culture stage in front of infection, the sporeof znf9gene overexpression mutant strains morphology changes, and strains growingslowly, thus speculate znf9proteins play a role in cell division; znf9geneoverexpression mutant strains after infection into corn plants, the number of tumorson disease plants compared with wild-type disease plants had decreasedsignificantly, the volume of tumor was significantly smaller than the wild-type strain, some plants only appear chlorotic scabs, and not produce tumors. These resultsindicate that maize plants before infection, the znf9gene of Ustilago maydisoverexpression will to inhibits proliferation of Ustilago maydis spores to someextent, and reduce the growth rate of the Ustilago maydis; and after infection of cornplant,znf9gene overexpression will to inhibit the growth of Ustilago maydis in cornplants, making it the pathogenesis of corn plants occurs in a significant change. |
