Being a global environmental disaster, soil erosion is severely influencing the environmental security as well as social and economic development of various country. This has also become one of the most tough problems in the arid and semiarid area in our country and needs to be handled effectively. The traditional ways of soil erosion monitoring has its own shortcomings on its basic data managing and saving. Therefore, it can not provide relevant departments visualized services. This thesis aimed at this point, making YongDing river, Beijing DaXing section as the research area and put forward the idea that the combining of the theoretical basis of soil wind erosion model with3S technology, database technology and network technology can be effective for building the wind erosion information system based on WebGIS. Thus, the system will enforce the timely warehousing management, analysis and display of the monitored data and will achieve real-time monitoring of soil wind erosion, providing platform for collaboration between departments and reference for rapid quantitative monitoring of soil wind erosion and wind erosion research, etc. The specific research results are as follows:By comparing the domestic and foreign soil wind erosion model, the author selected the basis model based on the characteristics of the research area, and corrected the relevant factors to build a soil wind erosion model of monitoring and estimating suitable for the region. And on this basis, for the realization of data processing, management, analysis, display and other functions, the author developed distributed wind erosion information system in ArcGIS Server for the. NET platform based on B/S mode combining with the relational database and spatial database technology. Making the study area data of20133~5month factor as basic data, the simulation results were compared with the same period results of validation. The final conclusion is that system operation precision can reach more than 80%,and it can generally meet the demand of regional soil erosion monitoring. Hence, the system can provide technical support for the soil wind erosion data management and can be effective for each department to learn about the wind erosion activity change.
