In this paper, using geographic information system technology, based on historical meteorological data of the Greater Xing’an Mountains in Heilongjiang province, combined with topography of study area, forest fire danger meteorological grade distribution and general fire situation of the Greater Xing’ an Mountains in Heilongjiang province was studied. Firstly, considering the influence of terrain conditions, distribution of various meteorological elements that influenced forest fire was analyzed. Secondly, suitable for fire danger meteorological grade of the study area was divided, And through calculation ten days’the grade distribution data and forest fire division data, spatial and temporal changes of forest fire in the Greater Xing’an Mountains was studied In order to provide support for the research area indifferent time and areas of forest fire management. The results show that:(1) Forest fire statistics from the Greater Xing’an Mountains in Heilongjiang province can be seen that the fire occurred primarily in spring, summer and autumn, the most number of summer fire, but the average burned area of summer fire is the least, the average burned area of spring fire is the largest. Fire occurred mainly in13o’clock to16o’clock.(2) The weather fire grade of study area was divided into6levels, it respectively was the highest, higher, high, low, lower, the lowest, fire danger rating limit were32,18.4,9.9,4.7,1.7and0.(3) Through the comparison between the change trend of forest fire weather index and the number of forest fire and burned area, it showed that the FWI can easily indicates the spread degree of fire.(4) From the meteorological grade distribution data of fire found that:Firstly, fire danger meteorological grade in South of the study area is higher than it in the north of study area, and the west is higher than the east. Secondly, the fire insurance period of study area is spring, autumn and winter, the spring fire serious situation significantly higher than the autumn and winter; Third, the study area meteorological fire trend is that increases gradually from southwest to northeast, reduce gradually from northeast to southwest.(5) It is can be seen that from fire division data it was divided into higher, high, low and lower four fire district. Higher fire danger area and high fire risk areas are mainly distributed in the southwest of study area, it is70percent of the total area. The study area of forest fire is generally high, the forest fire prevention work hard.
