Research On The Control Of Single Disease Cost Based On Sources Of Variation Analysis

As a new form of payment for medical expenses, single disease payment willbecome an effective way of improving the quality of health care, controlling medicalexpenses, strengthening hospital management. With the promotion and application ofthe single disease payment，our country will eventually form a new way of paymentfor medical expenses that mainly paid by DRGs combing of a variety of paymentmethods. Due to the numerous influencing factors and huge variation of single diseasecost, the promotion and implementation are hindered. The separation experimentalreform of medicine and drugs changed the compensation mechanism of publichospitals. With the relaxation of medical institutions access mechanism，Privatehospitals，joint venture hospitals and foreign hospitals will develop rapidly and thecompetition of medical industry will become more and more fierce. Effectivelycontrolling costs will be the key to obtain the sustainable competitive advantage forhospitals. The main work is as follows:1) The paper introduces the basic principle of the control chart，then study theapplication of the control chart in single disease payment and hospital management.2) In allusion to this problem, the paper analyzes the hospital expenses and thehospitalization days of single disease and finds out the main sources of variation bythe introducing SOV (sources of variation analysis). On this basis, the paper buildsthe X chart to control the hospital expenses and the hospitalization days ofpneumonia single disease. Compared with the traditional control chart, this methodcan effectively reduce the probability of false alarm and the hospital operational riskand have a great significance for the promotion and implementation of single diseasepayment.3) This paper analyzes the problems of cost control in the hospital, describes thebasic content of cost drivers, introduces the cost drivers to the cost control in thehospital, and proposes the mode of cost control based on multi-cost drivers. Theresearch reflects the crossing and integration of multidisciplinary managementmethods, and provides a new solution to cost control in the hospital. At last, the paperverifies the effectiveness and advantage of the mode through the case study ofappendicitis treatment group.
