Objective To investigate the discrepancy of HBsAg titre among patients withchronic hepatitis B (CHB), HBV-related liver cirrhosis (LC) and hepatocellularcarcinoma (HCC) and to assess the clinical importance of HBsAg titre in HBV-relatedliver cirrhosis.Materials and Methods Collected and analyzed the clinical data of573hospitalized patients with chronic hepatitis B、cirrhosis and hepatocellularcarcinoma. Results (1).The change of HBsAg level in the course of liver diseas. In thechronic hepatitis B group, liver cirrhosis group, hepatocellular group were(4979.66±2458.35)COI、(6084.97±2509.23)COI、(5811.34±2899.87)COI,respectively. The differences among the three groups were statisticallysignificant(P<0.05). However, there was no statistically significant difference inHBsAg titre between LC and HCC group.(2)The relationship between HBsAg andHBV DNA:there were significantly reverse correlation between HBsAg and HBVDNA in the CHB group, but there were significantly positive relation between HBsAgand HBV DNA in the LC and HCC group.(3)There were35patients and20patientswhose serum of HBV DNA were undetected in the goup of LC and HCC respectively, but the HBsAg level were high.(4)In the goup of LC,the HBsAg titer ofgastroesophageal varices bleeding group was higher than the non-bleeding group, there were positive relation between HBsAg and the score of child-puge. Conclusion With the progression of liver disease,HBsAg titer was higher in theLC and HCC group than CHB group, and in the group of LC and HCC,HBsAg hadpositive corrrlation with HBV DNA. In the goup of LC,there were correlationbetween HBsAg and gastroesophageal varices bleeding and the score of child-puge.
