| Objective Through the investigation of community elderly social support andhealth demands and utilization in Tainan of Taiwan area and Fuzhou of Fujianprovince, know the present state of social support and health service in two regions,discuss the factors that contribute to social support and health service of elderly,analyze the distinction of public service administration models and health servicemechanism between two countries, meanwhile learn from the police capacity inelderly long-term care, innovation administration mechanism, successful healthmanagement model of Taiwan, provide some suggestions to strengthen and improvethe community elderly social support and health.Methods Through multi-stage stratified random survey, from March to Mayof2012in Tainan, from July to August of2012in Fuzhou, aimed to over the age of65,a total of312elderly carried on the questionnaire survey, including basic survivalvariables, social support rating scale (SSRS) and health service demand andutilization.Results1) Tainan community elderly objective support, subjective score9.66+/-3.57points and21.32+/-4.22support, support utilization degree score7.17+/-2.09, social support score of38.17+/-8.36, higher than the mainland area norm,difference have statistical significance. Multiple linear regression analysis, said themain factors which influence the social support for marital status and livingconditions.2) Fuzhou community elderly objective support score9.10+/-1.89,subjective support score19.74+/-3.75degrees, and support the use of scoring6.15+/-1.87, social support score of34.99+/-5.94, higher than the mainland area norm,difference have statistical significance. Multiple linear regression analysis, said themain factors which influence the social support for age, marriage, cultural degree,chronic conditions and self-conscious health level.3) by comparing elderly people all dimensions of social support score difference have statistical significance.4) Tainancommunity elderly social support network is diversity hybrid model, government andsociety for the formal social support effect significantly, home-based of informalrelationship characteristics play an important role, Fuzhou community elderly socialsupport shows that the work place is the major factor to affect ederly living conditionsthe higher self care ability, social support network is not sound, support networkquality is not high, the support network socialization degree is low, the informalsupport network appear weakening trend features.5) Fuzhou community elderlyhealth service demand higher than the Tainan community elderly but low level of use.Conclusion Both the old economic support main source and formalrelationship, daily life and spiritual support from informal relationship, tainan city theold social support degree, strength and network scale is higher than the old fuzhoucommunity, after the comparative significantly. Two elderly community social supportnetwork characteristics, tainan city the old social support to belong to the communityintegrated, and fuzhou elderly belong to family social support. The two city itselfsocial system, economic development level, cultural background and so on. Tainancity old people pay more attention to politics, culture, people are taking an active partin social activities, maintain good state of mind; The elderly and fuzhou more focusedon the individual and family, even participate in the activity, also do not have toascend to the spiritual level. And they participate in community activities enthusiasmis not high, to the community support satisfaction is not high. Two elderly communitysocial support influence factors have age, marriage status, educational level, theworking condition, the chronic illnesses, self-conscious health level.Suggestion From the macro government responsibility and system security,medium, the diversity of social forces, micro their support consciousness and putsforward some strengthen and improve community elderly social support and healthlevel of suggestions and measures. |
