Objective:To evaluate the clinical efficacy and the safety of Q-switched Nd:YAGlaser in the treatment of dermal pigmentary skin diseases(PSDs).Methods: Collected421cases of patients’informations of dermal PSDs who hadcome to the hospital and had finished treatments with integrated data, including170cases of Naevus of Ota,14cases of Naevus Fusco-caerulens Zygomaticus(NFZ),99cases of tattoo,56cases of artificial eyebrow,53cases of artificial eyelid line,6casesof artificial lip line,23cases of accidental tattoo. We sunmmerised the data according tosexuality, age, course, region, color, ect. The Q-switched Nd:YAG laser532nm and1064nm of Versa cosmetic laser is made by Lumenis in America. While the532nmwavelength was adopted for red tattoo, red artificial lip line;the1064nm wavelength isfor Naevus of Ota, NFZ, non-red tattoo,non-red artificial lip line, artificial eyelid line, artificial eyebrow, accidental tattoo. The pictures were taken by the same people usingthe camera Nikon D60every time. The therapeutic interval was three to six months. Wefollowed up for3months after the end of treatment, observing the clinical efficacy andadverse effects. Results: Q-switched Nd:YAG laser treated421patients with dermal PSDs, with331cases are cured,56cases are excellent,32cases are effective,2cases are invalid.Total effective rate is99.29%, and total cure rate is78.38%. The clinical efficacy isobvious in tattoo, artificial eyebrow, artificial eyelid line and accidental tattoo with thehighest effective rates100%, while the lowest effective rate was83.33%in artificial lipline. The highest cure rate is90.59%in Naevus of Ota, while the lowest cure rate is33.33%in artificial lip line. The treatment frequency is among1-12times. Themaximum of average times is4.88±2.40times in Naevus of Ota, followed by,NFZ,tattoo, accidental tattoo, artificial lip line, artificial eyebrow, artificial eyelid line. Wefollowed up3months through telephone after the end of the treatment, inquested the gratification of the treatments. The sum of extremely satisfactory rate and satisfactoryrate is93.59%. One patient of NFZ appeares temporary hyperpigmentation, it relievesafter3months by itself. There isn’t any infection and scar formation in the course of thetreatment and after the end of treatment.Conclution: The Q-switched Nd:YAG laser is effective and safe during thetreatment of dermal PSDs.
