Objective To evaluate the safety and effecting of fast track surgery using in patientswith radical total gastrectomy during perioperative period.Methods Chose forty gastric cancer patients with radical total gastrectomy receivingfast track surgery,chose another forty gastric cancer patients receiving traditionalsurgery. Compare respectively the postoperative clinical indicators, nutrition indicatorsand stress indicators.Results The passage of gas by anus, time of hospital stay and treatment expense inpatients of fast track group were lower than those in traditional group(P<0.05). Thepostoperative complications of lung in patients in fast track group were significantlylower than those in traditional group(P<0.05). Patients in fast track group had no morecomplications than those in traditional group in vomiting, abdominal distension,anastomotic leakage and seroperitoneum(P>0.05). There were no significant differencesin total postoperative complications between the two groups(P>0.05). The postoperativeserum levels of nutrition indicators,such as albumin, prealbumin, transferrin, in fasttrack group is significantly lower than those in traditional(P<0.05), and quickly recover.The postoperative serum levels of stress indicators, such as CRP, IL-6, in fast trackgroup is signigicantly higher than those in traditional group(P<0.05).Conclusion Fast track surgery using in patients with gastric cancer during the perioperative period is safety and effective,can accelerate the rehabilitation of patientswithout the increase complication of postoperative.
