| Objective: To study the bacterial distribution and the characterstics of drug resistanceof acute pulpitis patients. Methods: Bacterial cultures for aerobes and anaerobes were performed on pulp specimensof40patients from Department of Cariology Endodontology And Operative Dentistry ofthe First Teching Hospital of XinJiang Medical University, then the drug resistance ofbacteria in infected pulp were tested. Results: Totally65strains of bacteria were isolated from infected pulp specimens, gramnegative anaerobic bacteria were mostly founded from bacteria cultured, accounts for66.1%(43/65), B.fragilis,P.melaninogenica,P.gingivalis were mostly founded from gramnegative anaerobic bacteria, account for21.5%(14/65),15.4%(10/65),10.7%(7/65)respectively. The drug resistance rate of10strains of B. fragilis to penicillin andamoxicillin(2-4mg/l)were100%(10/10). The drug sensitivity rate of10strains of B.fragilis to Metronidazole and ticarcillin/clavulanate(32/2-64/2mg/l)were100%(10/10).The drug resistance rate of14strains of P. melaninogenica to penicillin was57.2%(8/14),the drug resistance rate of14strains of P. melaninogenica to amoxicillin(2-4mg/l)was42.9%(6/14). The drug sensitivity rate of14strains of P. melaninogenica toimipenem, chloromycetin, metronidazole, amoxicillin+clavulanate(16/2mg/l)were100%(14/140.The drug resistance rate of7strains of P.gingivalis to penicillin was57.2%(4/7), the drug resistance rate of7strains of P.gingivalis to amoxicillin(2-4mg/l)was42.9%(3/7).Conclusions: The bacteria isolated from Acute Pulpitis patients are mainly gram negativeanaerobic bacteria. The drug resistance rate of gram negative anaerobic bacteria to β-Lactam antibiotics are very high,so we think that metronidazole can be combined withother sensitive antibiotics to restrain bacteria. |
