Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of leflunomide combined Peng cao chu biprescription for rheumatoid arthritis patients, lay the foundation for the further promotionof combined Chinese and Western medicine to treat rheumatoid arthritis.Methods:Selected60cases of definitive diagnosis patients with rheumatoid arthritis, divided theminto two groups,30cases in the treatment group, treated by leflunomide combined Pengcao chu bi prescription; the other30cases in the control group, treated by leflunomideonly.15days as a course. Two groups of patients in terms of gender, age, duration werestatistically no significant difference (P>0.05), it were comparable. To observe thechanges of the two groups’ patients with C-reactive protein, erythrocyte sedimentation rate,in plasma D-dimer before and after treatment, and to evaluate the efficacy of the twomethods, and the impact to D-dimer indicators.Results: the treatment group and thecontrol group’s C-reactive protein, erythrocyte sedimentation rate, plasma D-dimer aftertreatment was decreased compared before treatment (P <0.05); the efficacy of the twogroups has statistically differences by the chi-square test (P<0.05), and the treatmentgroup is better than the control group.Conclusion: The results indicate that leflunomidecombined with traditional Chinese medicine Peng cao chu bi prescription to treatrheumatoid arthritis is effective, and significantly reduced the plasma D-dimer ofrheumatoid arthritis patients.
