Current Status Of Community Health Services In Chengdu

ObjectiveTo understand the situation of community health service system and theeffectiveness of policy measures in Chengdu nearly five years, summarize thecommunity health service development and find problems of Chengdu. Providingscientific basis for improving the relevant policies and the mechanism of communityhealth service.MethodsUsing the methods of census survey and sampling survey investigating theconstruction of community health service system in the36key contact cities nearly5years. The contents of census survey are the health care spending, community healthservice policy, the basic situation of community health service institutions, the amountof health services and so on. The contents of sampling survey are the condition ofrational drug use and the satisfaction of community health service users, randomlyselecting10community health service centers and10community health servicestations to survey the condition of rational drug use in community, randomly selecting611community health service users to survey the satisfaction. Using descriptivestatistical methods for data statistical analysis. ResultsBy2011, Chengdu has5boroughs,the number of resident population is14.081million. There are111community health service centers and172community healthservice stations. The city annual health care spending and the special fund ofcommunity health service is5007.3million yuan and244.6million yuan in2011，theper capita community public health service expense standard is31.3yuan.By2011, the average worth of fixed assets of community health service center is5.655million yuan in Chengdu, the average building area is2646.7square meters, theaverage income is16.795million yuan. The total number of personnel in communityhealth service center is76.6, the average number of doctors working on generalpractitioner position is10.3, the average number of traditional Chinese physicians is7.4, the average number of public health doctors is1.0, the average number of nursesis21.8.By2011, the average number of the outpatient services provided by communityhealth service centers is74680.3person-times, the average number of home visitservices is707.6person-times, the average number of personal health records is57215.6, the average number of old people health management aged65years andabove is6344.1.By2011, the average number of drugs per100prescriptions is219.6, the averagenumber of prescriptions with intravenous drugs per100prescriptions is12.8, theaverage number of prescriptions with antibiotics per100prescriptions is36.9, theaverage number of prescriptions with hormonic drugs per100prescriptions is2.0, theaverage cost of prescription is49.4yuan.By2011,601community health service users were investigated, there are326people can reach the community health service institution around the house in15minutes, accounting for54.2%. The proportion of content number for seeing a doctoror using the service in community health service organizations accounts for58.9%,and95.9%for time taken on service and line waiting.Conclusions and suggestions Chengdu medical and health expenditure has increased year by year, communityhealth service policies have been well implemented, the amount of service provided bycommunity ranks among the top nationwide. However, the number of communitygeneral practitioners and public health physicians is not enough, the degree oftraining needs to be further improved.It is suggested to increase the number ofcommunity physicians, strengthen the training; increase the rate of standardizeddocument; further improve the quality of community health service.
