Objective: Through comparing the curative effect and complications between high-dosedexamethasone impact therapy and traditional glucocorticoids treatment of primaryimmune thrombocytopenia (ITP),to provide some theoretical basis for reasonabletreatment options in clinical work. Methods: Retrospective method was used to analyze the clinical data of40cases of adultpatients with immune thrombocytopenia which treated in August2012to December2013years in our hematology department of Zunyi Medical College affiliated hospital. Thesepatients were randomly divided into2groups, group A (20cases) was treated withhigh-dose dexamethasone impact therapy (40mg/d×4days) and group B (20cases) wastreated with traditional glucocorticoids therapy (oral prednisone at a dose of1mg/kg/d,slow reduction begins after relieve,5mg per week, and then maintain a small dose therapy),compared the efficacy of two groups.Results:1. In the seventh day,the platelet in High-dose dexamethasone group were higherthan traditional group (P <0.05); but in the fourteenth day, the difference between the twogroups has no statistical significance (P>0.05).2. High-dose dexamethasone group compared with the traditional group, the totalresponse rate were90%,85%respectively, the difference has no statistical significance (P>0.05).3. High-dose dexamethasone group compared with the traditional group, the incidenceof complications were10%,25%respectively, the difference has no statistical significance(P>0.05).Conclusions:1. Both High-dose dexamethasone impact group and traditional glucocorticoids grouphave the same total response rate.2. Both High-dose dexamethasone impact group and traditional glucocorticoids groupcan cause platelets raise, but the former platelets rose more obvious the seventh day, andhas no significant difference in the fourteenth day. 3. The two groups showed no significant difference in short-term complications.
