The hip joint is one of the most important joints of human body. Thebiomechanical research focused on the study of biomechanical problem of the hip, theanalysis of the stress load of each component, the creation of biomechanical modelthat accord with the human body structure and the acquisition of mechanics andkinetic parameters that accord with the real structure. Since the finite element analysistechnology has been widely used in the calculation of the field of biomechanics, it hasbeen penetrated into all areas of biomechanics. To establish the biomechanical finiteelement model of the hip that accord with the human anatomical structure, and to carryon the effective mechanical analysis, to obtain the accurate and reliable data that canbe used in the fields of clinical treatment, medical research, applications of thebiological mechanical design, prosthesis design, corrective surgery, rapid prototypingof medicine, etc. are an urgent problems that need to be solved. In this paper, based onthe establishment of the biomechanical model of the gait cycle hip and the methodsand analysis results of the finite element model, it was summarized as follows:1The biomechanical model of the human hip including skeletal and musclewhich used the human modeling and simulation system software AnyBody was built. The model fit with the real hip joint anatomical structure. Through a complete cycle ofthe gait simulation for the hip joint, we can get the change of the stress and angle ofthe hip joint along with the change time, as well as the force of the main muscles. Andprovide reasonable parameters for finite element modeling and simulation.2The medical imaging data of the hip joint were used. Through3Dreconstruction of the medicine, the three-dimensional model of the hip joint, prosthesis, and femur-prosthesis were built. Through finite element software, the surface grid wasmeshed and body grid was transformed. The finite element model was established. With the use of medicine modeling software, we can assign material values for thefinite element model. 3Using the established finite element model and the force and angle changeparameters of the hip joint, normal femur and assembly model of femur-prosthesis aswell as assembly of the different material prosthesis were conducted the finite elementanalysis. And these provided a reference for further study of the biomechanicalproperties of the hip.
