Objective: To investigate the expression of SIRT3in gastric carcinoma and therelationship between its expression and clinical pathology parameters. Methods: The expression levels of SIRT3protein in gastric carcinoma tissues andadjacent normal tissues from20cases were detected by Western blot;the expressionlevels of SIRT3protein in50paraffin-embeded section samples of patients with gastriccarcinoma were detected by immunohistochemistry and the relationship between theexpression of SIRT3and clinical parameters, including age, gender, depth of invasion, differentiation and lymph node metastasis were analyzed by the statistical method ofchi-square test.Results:1.SIRT3was expressed in gastric carcinoma tissues and adjacent normaltissues, and it is mainly expressed in the cytoplasm;the expression level of SIRT3ingastric carcinoma tissues was lower than that in adjacent normal tissues (2=9.004,P <0.05);2.The expression of SIRT3was related to the depth of invasion, differentiationand TNM stages (P <0.05),but not related to the gender, age, lymph node metastasis (P﹥0.05).Conclusions: SIRT3showed low expression in gastric carcinoma, the results suggestthat SIRT3may play a crucial role in the occurrence and development of gastriccarcinoma, and its expression level might be an important indicator as the evaluation ofgastric carcinoma.
