Now more and more people suffered from coronary heart disease aswe living the modern life. With the advances in the effective treatment forcoronary heart disease, the myocardial ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injuryincreased significantly. The prognosis of post-intervention patient need beconsidered. As a member of innate immunity, Toll-like receptor (TLR) cannot only recognize the pathogen-associated molecular pattern, but alsoplays an important role in the inflammation response after the I/R injury. After ischemia, the cardiomyocyte can release some substance, like heatshock protein (HSP), which can bind to TLR. Although appropriateinflammation can prevent cell from pathogen invade and lead to cardiacrepair. But excess inflammation may have a detrimental effect.Coincidently, inflammation post-myocardial infarction is a key determinantof the left ventricular remodeling and heart failure. The mechanisms canprovide new insight to prevent the heart failure after myocardial infarction.Meanwhile, the TLR pathway can have several interactions with theendoplasmic reticulum stress or oxidative stress, which induced by thecardiac I/R. Here we reviewed the signal pathway of the TLR in the I/R injury.
