Objective to systematically evaluate the therapeutic effect ofgastroesophageal devascularization(GD), transjugular intrahepaticportosystemic shunt(TIPS) for the treatment of750portal hypertensioncases reported in Chinese literature.【Methods】The literatures about theeffect of gastroesophageal devascularization, transjugular intrahepaticportosystemic shun on portal hypertension were collected from Wanfangdatabases,China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI) from2004to2012.RevMan5.0and SPSS15.0were used for data analysis.【Results】In this study11reports were enrolled into the meta-analysis.The results ofthe meta-analysis showed that long term survival rate have no significantdifference between GD group and TIPS group[OR=0.77,95%Cl(0.53,1.10),P=0.15]; hepatic encephalopathy have no significant differencebetween GD group and TIPS group[OR=1.21,95%CI(0.74,1.97),P=0.04]; For recurrent variceal bleeding rate, that in group of GD washigher than that in the group of TIPS[OR=0.44,95%CI(0.30,0.63),P<0.01].【Conclusion】 For prognosis of hypertension of portal vein, recurrent variceal bleeding rate was higher in the GD group than the TIPS group. However, hepatic encephalopathy and long-term survival rate haveno significant difference between GD group and TIPS group.TIPS is anew and promising treatment modality for portal hypertension patients.
