Objectives:To evaluate the effect of corneal neovascularization treated with Docetaxel inRabbits induced by alkali cauterization. Methods:The rabbits were then divided into four groups:A:10ug·ml-1Docetaxel treatedgroup(n=6),B:20ug·ml-1Docetaxel treated group(n=6),C:40ug·ml-1Docetaxeltreated group(n=6),D:control group(n=6).Cornea neovascularization(CNV)wasinduced by1mol·l-1NaOH in24rabbits.Each groups have been given the eye dropssince the2days after alkali injury. The eyes in each groups were examined bymicroscope at3,7,14days. The area of CNV was marked by photography.Immunobistochemistry and RT-PCR was used to determine the VEGF level. Results:Docetaxel eye drops both can inhibit the length and area of rabbit cornealneovascularization at different time, howerer, there was a little difference between thetwo concentration of Docetaxel eye drops. The expression of VEGF was suppressedsignificantly in Docetaxel eye drops groups, nevertheless the expression of VEGFwas markedly increased in the control group. Conclusion:The results of this study demonstrate that Docetaxel is effective in the inhibitionof corneal neovacularization induced by alkaline burn....
