Background:Critically ill patients often need to be put into deep vein catheter for treatmentand monitoring, But the subsequent catheter-related infection has become animportant part of hospital infection. Objectives:Observe in vitro antibacterial properties of nano-silver coating deep vein catheter,to explore a potent broad-spectrum, lasting and stable new antibacterial catheter, satisfy the critically ill patient ‘s liquid input, nutritional support, and hemodynamicmonitoring demand, reduce the incidence of catheter related infections.Methods:1. Bacteriostatic ring experiment:Method of bacteriostatic ring experiment wasused to measured diameter of bacteriostatic ring of nano-silver antibacterial catheter(experimental group) and the common catheter (control group) against Staphy-lococcus aureus、Epidermis staphylococcus、Escherichia coli、Pseudomonas aerug-inosa、Acinetobacter baumannii、Candida albicans.2. In vitro antibacterial experiments:The nano-silver antibacterial catheter(experimental group) and the common catheter (control group) was soaked in sterilesaline to medium temperature preservation; take out the portion of the catheter withmixed bacteria suspension after corresponding time, Plate colony counting methodwas used to measured the number of bacteria on catheter surface and calculate theantibacterial rate.3. Data processing and statistical analysis: Paired samples t test and varianceanalysis was used to analysis the date of the experimental group and control group, judging whether significant differences.Results:1. Bacteriostatic ring experiment. Nano-silver coating antibacterial catheter (experimental group) bacteriostasis ring diameter (mm) significantly greater thancommon catheter (control group)(P <0.05). Bacteriostatic ring diameter of theexperimental group:Staphylococcus aureus13.20±1.30、 Epidermis staphylococcus11.40±1.14、 Escherichia coli9.60±1.52、 Pseudomonas aeruginosa9.80±1.30、Acinetobacter baumannii10.80±0.84、 Candida albicans11.20±1.92, there are sign-ificant difference(P <0.05). Bacteriostatic ring diameter of the control group: Staphy-lococcus aureus2.80±0.84、 Epidermis staphylococcus4.60±1.95、 Escherichia coli0.00±0.00、 Pseudomonas aeruginosa0.00±0.00、 Acinetobacter baumannii0.00±0.00、 Candida albicans0.00±0.00, there are significant difference(P <0.05).2. In-vitro antibacterial experiments. Nano-silver coating antibacterial catheter(experimental group) the number of bacteria on catheter surface significantly lessthan common catheter (control group)(P <0.05)Antibacterial rates of nano-silver coating antibacterial catheter on staphyloc-occus aureus during five periods were91.28±0.44、89.96±0.43、90.60±1.07、89.63±1.02、91.63±0.88;Epidermis staphylococcus:91.25±0.97、89.58±1.47、89.34±1.11、88.49±0.16、90.13±0.71;Escherichia coli:87.41±0.96、86.57±2.27、87.64±1.00、88.23±1.14、89.14±1.07Pseudomonas aeruginosa:84.02±0.70、85.99±0.64、86.62±0.88、82.93±0.87、85.55±1.48;Acinetobacter baumannii:86.27±1.38、88.76±0.53、88.78±0.90、88.87±1.46、86.89±1.52;Candida albicans:84.49±2.37、84.82±2.40、86.19±0.94、83.42±1.60、84.27±2.16Conclusions:Nano-silver coating deep vein catheter for the common strains have potent andbroad spectrum antibacterial ability, and antibacterial effect of lasting stability, hashigh clinical practical value.
