Cyclophosphamide as a kind of chemotherapy drug, which has significant anti-tumor effect, has been widely used nowadays, but it often leads to the body’s bone marrow suppression and immune suppression. To investigate the effect of Eurotium cristatum, tea polyphenols and Eurotium cristatum in combination with Tea polyphenols against immunosuppression and bone marrow suppression in cyclophosphamide-treated Balb/c mice, the BALB/c mice were firstly given80mg/kg cyclophosphamide via intraperitoneal injection for three consecutive days to establish immunosuppression model,then in the following15days, mice were administered with400mg/kg tea polyphenols, low, medium, high dose of Eurotium cristatum, and three dose of Eurotium cristatum mixed with400mg/kg Tea polyphenol. Some haematological, and immunological indices were determined. The results showed that compared with model group, low,medium and high dose of Eurotium cristatum,and Tea polyphenols can increase the white blood cell count, but there was no synergistic effect; the high dose of Eurotium cristatum can make red blood cells number and hemoglobin content return to normal levels; tea polyphenols had no significant effect on the number of red blood cells and the content of hemoglobin, but can assist Eurotitum cristatum’s function. Both substances had no significant effect on platelet number. Both Eurotium cristatum and tea polyphenols can increase spleen index, but there was no synergistic effect; Eurotium cristatum had no obvious effect on monocyte-macrophage phagocytosis,while Tea polyphenols can increase monocyte-macrophage phagocytic index, and the combination of Eurotium cristatum and tea polyphenols was antagonistic; medium and high dose of Eurotium cristatum can raise hemolysin level, tea polyphenols can restore hemolysin level, and the existence of tea polyphenols had no influence on Eurotium cristatum; Both Eurotitum cristatum and tea polyphenols can restore delayed type hypersensitivity, and the combination of the two substance were synergistic; Eurotium cristatum and tea polyphenols both can elevate serum IL-2levels and reduce the content of serum TNF-α, but the combination of the two substances can elevate serum IL-2levels and make serum TNF-a return to normal level.
