Observation On Immediate Pain Relief For Blood Stasis Type Of Migraine By Anti-ashi Point Therapy

Objective:To observe the immediate pain relief for blood stasis type of migraine during the acute stage, and provide a better scheme in treating migraine.Methods:55patients were randomly divided into two groups, the treatment group (n=26) and the control group (n=29). Acupuncture on Anti-Ashi point was applied to the treatment group, while the control group was treated with regular acupuncture therapy. Each patient received only once, and was observed at the end of treatment, half an hour and24hours after treatment, and evaluated the improvement of pain relief according to the score and a measure ruler.Results:(1) Compared before and after the treatment of two groups, the total efficiency of pain relief were not statistically significant (P>0.05).(2) Before and after the treatment of each group, there were statistically significant (P<0.001).(3) The comparison between the two groups at the end of the treatment, have statistical significance (P<0.05).(4) At the end of the treatment and0.5hours after treatment in two groups, compared to24hours after treatment, there were statistical significance (P<0.05).Conclusion:(1) Both methods could significantly release the pain of migraine.(2) Anti-Ashi point therapy group got a better effect compare to regular acupuncture therapy at the end of the treatment.(3) The total efficiency of both methods was not different significantly (4) Anti-Ashi point therapy had a better pain relief at the end of the treatment and0.5hours after treatment than24hours after treatment. Regular acupuncture therapy had a better pain relief24hours after treatment than the end and0.5hours after the treatment.(5) Anti-Ashi point therapy has equal effect compared with regular acupuncture therapy but with fewer needles, more safety, less side effects and economic. It is manifesting easily and works fast with obvious effect, therefore is worth in clinical promotion.
