Clinical Study Of Iodine125Seed Implantation Combined With Transcatheter Arterial Chemoembolization For Hepatocellular Carcinoma

Objective Objective: Discussing the treatment value and safty ofPHC by using Iodine125seed implantation combined with TACE.Methods Choosing the86primary PHC who were treated between2007/9to2013/3in the tumor hospital of Jilin Province. They weredivided into two groups in random, treatment group and controlgroup.Efficacy evaluation was performed in2,12,24,36,48,60monthsafter the treatment by the examination of CT scan with contrastenhancement.Results The overall response(CR+PR) of treatment group andcontrol group were85.0％(34/40)and67.4％(31/46) respectively at2months after operation． The medians Progression Free Survival oftreatment group and control group were7.00months and3.00months.The survival rate at1,2，3，4，and5years in treatment group89.47％，80.06％,57.82％,57.82％，and57.82％were significandyhigher than those in control group80.43%、46.31％,32.06%，20.40％，and10.20%．Conclusion Iodine125seed implantation combined withtranscatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) is a safe and effectiveway to treat PHC.
