Reciproc Ni-Ti Rotary Instruments On Clinical Study Of The Root Canal System Of Mandibular First Molars

Objective：To investigate the clinical application of single RECIPROC Ni-Tirotary instruments in the treatment of mandibular first molar root canalsystem through clinical cases reported.Methods：10clinical cases of mandibular first molar were collected.Preoperative X-ray films were taken to ensure that the root canal systemwas composed by MB, ML and D. The cavity was routine prepared andball drill was used to remove dentine overhang around the root canalorifice,in order to expose the chamber entirely and establish straightpassageway for instruments accessing. Then the chamber was cleanedand DG16was used to locate the root canal orifice. Working lengths wereconfirmed radiographically and by Root ZX.17%EDTA gel combinedwith single Reciproc Ni-Ti rotary instruments were used in root canalpreparation, Move the Reciproc instrument in a slow in-and-out peckingmotion. The amplitude of the in-and-out movements shouldn’t exceed3mm. Only extremely light pressure should be applied.One in-and-outmovement=1peck. Remove the instrument from the canal after3pecks.0.9%sodium chloride，2%chlorhexidine,3%hydrogen peroxide and P5rinsed root canal alternatively, then warm vertical compaction techniquewas used to fill root canal. Postoperative X-ray films were taken to evaluate its efficiency.Results：In10cases of mandibular first molar clinical cases collected, theroot canals were all dredged, and prepared by Reciproc, and filled. All ofthem shows very good therapeutic effect.Conclusions：Reciproc file as a single file, can be safe and effective for rootcanal preparation in pulpitis, pulp necrosis, and apical periodontitistreatment. Because of the variety of the mandibular first molar rootcanal,both number and morphology complexity of the root canal, thedifficulty of root canal treatment increases.During the process oftreatment, Reciproc file combined with EDTA gel, and2%chlorhexidinepyridine solution is applied while rinsing,and tight root canal filling iscarried out, as a result, a good treatment of mandibular first molar rootcanal could be acquired.
