| Objectives:The aim of this study was to describe nursing quality of work life status, toexplore the relationship between Psychological empowerment, Organizationalcommitment and Work Environment.To analyze the influencing factors.All of thesewould be reference for hospitals and administrative department to improve thenurses’ quality of work life.Methods:A cross-sectional study was undertaken from September2013to November2013,and the questionnaire was applied on518contract nurses selected from threeIII-A-grade hospitals in Changchun.Questionnaires were distributed550, valid518were returned, the effective rate was94.18%.Five structured questionaries were usedfor data collection, which included socio-demographical characteristics of nurses,thechinese version of WRQOL,Psychological Empowerment Questionnaire,Organizational Co-mmitment Questionnaire and The Work EnvironmentQuestionnaire.SPSS17.0statistical software was used to analyze data, includingdescriptive statistical analysis, one-way analysis of variance, spearman correlationanalysis,, t test and multiple stepwise regression analysis and Structural EquationModels.Results:1.The total score of QWL was5from169, average score was112.99.Thehighest score is CAW latitude(10.80±1.90), the lowest score is SAW latitude(11.75±2.57). 2.There were significant differences in the overall score and some latitude ofnurses’ quality of work life in terms of Health status, marital status, age, livingsituation, job title, working years, work like degree(P<0.05).3.The correlation coefficient r scores between the quality of work life andpsychological empowerment, organizational commitment, work environment,separately was0.669,0.510,0.425.4.Multiple stepwise regression analysis showed that "Affective commitment""self-determination"" work meaning""work like degree"" job impact""Continuedcommitment""State of health""normative commitment""working years" were enteredmodel of nurses’ quality of work life.5.The total influence of "Psychological empowerment" to " quality of work life"variable was0.581,"work environment" to "quality of work life" was0.052."Organizational commitment" to "quality of work life" was0.182. The totalinfluence of General variable "state of health","working years","work like degree"to "quality of work life"were:0.088,-0.077,0.222.Conclusions:1.The level of was at a medium level nurses’ quality of work life was at amedium level of overall.2.Differences was existed in total score of the quality of life and its sevenlatitudes of among the different demographic characteristics’ nurses.3. There is a significant positive correlation between nurses’ quality of work lifeand psychological empowerment, organizational commitment, work environment.4.The influencing factors of the Contract Nurses of Ⅲ-A-grade hospitals inchangchun included Affective commitment, self-determination,work meaning,work like degree, job impact, Continued commitment, State of health, normativecommitment, working years.5.Psychological empowerment,organizational commitment has a effect toquality of life.Work environment through the organization’s commitment to qualityof life has a indirect to quality of life,role in this process, organizational commitment to play an in termediary role.General information has a direct effect on it. |
