| Objectives:To investigate the safety and feasibility of synthetic mesh in contaminated ventral hernia operation. Methods:The clinical data were retrospectively analyzed in17patients with contaminated incisional hernia and parastomal hernia undergone surgery between January2006and December2013.We analyzed the reason of the contamination of their surgery, intraoperative processing and the occurrence of postoperative complications. Investigate the safety and feasibility of synthetic mesh in contaminated ventral hernia operation by application features of synthetic mesh. Results:The mean follow-up time was50.5(6-91) months, no patients died due to hernia repair surgery. One case occurred wound infection or mesh infection after2year and6month among17patients, they healed after debridement and dressing.1case of bowel obstruction after five days, recovery after conservative treatment. Two cases of postoperative seroma occurs4-5days, both suffering from diabetes, recovery after conservative treatment such as pumping fluid. Conclusion:the operation of contaminated ventral hernia surgery was appropriate to deal with pollution, select the appropriate synthetic mesh, a synthetic mesh can be applied to complete the stage I repair. |
