Object:To investigate the application and effect of osteotome sinus floor elevation with immediate implantation and without bone graft material in the implant restoration.Methods:25cases (14male,11female) with4-8mm height of residual bond in the posterior maxilla from Stomatology Dental Implant Center of Anhui Medical University from2011to2012were placed maxillary sinus lifting techniques and simultaneous implant34placements without bone grafting. The implant upper crowns were restored after six months. All the patients were followed up for1to2years to evaluate the peri-dental implant tissue condition and used the Albrekkson-Zarb evaluation criteria to analyze the implant success rate. X-ray measurements were performed preoperative, immediate postoperative,6months and12months after implant surgery, to evaluate the condition of osseointegration, marginal bone loss and the formation of new bone around the implant. Results:The cumulated survival rate was97.1%.24cases mSBI were0,1or2, mPLI were0or1, MI were0, and PPD was2.88±0.25mm. Six months later, it was found that bone height of sinus floor on implants from each group was elevated about2.86±0.28mm,2.41±0.54mm, and the alveolar bone was well osteointegrated with the implants. X-ray examination of bone around the implant neck level absorption was less than2mm after one year. Patient’s satisfaction rate was100%.Conclusion:With complying with suitable surgical indication and a standard technique, the technique of osteotome sinus floor elevation and immediate dental implantation without bone graft material has satisfactory therapeutic effect. A high success rate can be obtained. It could be used in the maxillary posterior area implant placement. More patients and a longer follow-up period to evaluate the Long-term effects and success rates are needed to investigate the reliability of this technique.
