Objective:To investigate the intervention of antiviral therapy on the risk factors of chronic hepatitis B-related hepatocellular carcinoma. Methods:The hospitalized cases of hepatocellular carcinoma in Qingdao Infectious Diseases Hospital from February2010to June2012were retrospectively analysised,a total of251cases. The relevant data recorded on the questionnaire prepared by the unified. The remaining232cases were included in the study. To compare the distribution of various factors between antiviral treatment group and no-antiviral treatment group. Results:The differences of HBV DNA level, the nature of HBeAg, the time of HBV infection and that of cirrhosis before diagnosed with HCC between two groups were statistically significant (P<0.05),the patients of antiviral group with significantly lower HBV DNA levels, the patients of the other group with shorter time of HBV infection and liver cirrhosis. There were no statistical significance on the differences of the family history of chronic hepatitis b and liver cancer between the two groups (P>0.05).Conclusion:1. The antiviral treatment of HBV patients contributes to turn the positive HBeAg to be negative.2. The antiviral treatment does not affect the family history of CHB and HCC in patients.3.The antiviral treatment can effectively delay the progress of CHB to the HCC, to may reduce the incidence of HCC.
