Objective To study the expression of lung resistance protein (LRP) innon-small cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) and its correlation withclinicopathologieal feature and the chemotherapeutic efficacy. Methods The expression of LRP in89NSCLC patients who are collectedfrom Augest2006to January2011in the third Affiliatted Hospital of f GuangxiMedical University, is detected by the way of immunohistochemical method.Everyone has not the thance of operation, or the patients who has the thance ofoperation refuse surgery and radiation therapy. The relationship between LRPand clinicopathologieal feature and the others (age, sex, smoking history, histological type, differentiation, clinical stages, lymphatic metastasis and so on)were studied.Results1. In the tissues of patients with NSCLC, the positive expressing rate ofLRP is77.5%, which is higher than those LRP negative expression ones, whose rate is22.5%.2. The positive expressing of LRP is not related with age, smoking history, histological type, differentiation, lymphatic metastasis (all P>0.005). But Thepositive expressing of LRP in NSCLC is related with sex, clinical stages, distantmetastasis(all P<0.005).3. There are61cases whose LRP is positive in the80cases with completefollow-up data who had been treated the platinum contained other chemotherapyregimens. In which CR was0cases, PR was33cases, SD was12cases, PDwas16cases. LRP is negative in the other19cases, In which CR was0cases,PR was11cases, SD was2cases, PD was6cases. And there were notstatistical significant difference in RR, DCR, PFS, and OS between the LRPpositive expression group and the LRP negative expression group(all P>0.005).The positive expression rate of LRP in female patients(95.5%) was higher thanin male patients(71.6%)(P=0.043), The positive expression rate in the patientwith distant metastasis(87.3%) was higher than in the patients without distantmetastasis(P<0.05).Conclusion1. It is a higher expression about LRP in NSCLC cancer.2. The positive expressing group is higher than the LRP negative patientsin the clinical stages of NSCLC. The positive expressing groupis more frequently than the LRP negative patients in the diagnosis distantmetastasis of NSCLC.3. The PFS, OS in LRP-positive patients are lower than those in LRPnegative patients, These results suggest LRP may be an evaluating indicator ofthe prognosis of NSCLC.
