The important locations that the married women acted in Ancient China were no more than two places, one was her new-built family, and the other was her parents’ home, and it could be understood as the primary home. The relationship between the two played an important role in the study of the Wei-Jin Southern and Northern Dynasties. With the help of historical materials and epitaphs materials, the relationship between them were discussed deeply, the paper intended to draw the outline of the married woman through their daily life.Apparently, the married women would be back to her parents’home at festivals, but the various reasons could account to the visiting, including visiting her sick parents, for funeral, and the death of her husband was a special reason too. The temporary staying in parents’ home also could be seen in the materials.Out of the consideration of reciprocity and the necessity to maintain the relationship in the family, parents would visit their married daughters, and the parents’family would change into the brothers’family since parents were in old age or left away.As outspread of the relationship between the married women and her parents’family, the relationships between grandfathers and sons, uncles or aunts and nephews were appearing. Meanwhile, the paper also laid emphasis on the relationships between the married ones with her sisters. In addition to these, be buried in her primary home was also an important part of the family relationships.They had economic relations mainly in the daily contact, and political relations obviously existed between the married women and their powerful relatives. Besides, the relationships between the married women and the bureaucrats should be taken into consideration too.The key point of the discussion between the married women and her family was to reveal the difference with the former dynasties. This paper argued that the influential factors should be the marriage, family status and economic factors, regional factors and social factors.In the Wei-Jin Southern and Northern Dynasties, the relationships between the married women and her parents’family were affected by the influence of the metaphysics, and the wide spread of metaphysics changed women’s style and features.In addition, the government attached importance to the marriage;On the other hand, along with the social development, especially the growing of bhiksunis groups, the law was improving. The evolution of the several aspects of this period also made a corresponding change in the funeral systems.
