In the process of translation, the translator plays an important role; he is a bridgeconnecting the original author and the reader. In the thousands of years of translation, thetranslator’s identity is not static. Initially, he was thought to play a “conqueror” role; then, theplay is “servant”,“invisible man” and some other low status role. As the traditional translationtheory is the source language text as the center’s research focuses on language level, focusingon language, on the other, the faithful, that is mechanical translation of the text conversion,therefore, the translator in order to faithfully convey the author’s intent, must be avoided ownsubjective factors.In fact, the translation is a dynamic and complex process involving many factors. In thetranslation process, the translator is both original readers and interpreters, but also the authorof the target text, so in the translation process, will inevitably inject their own subjectivefactors, the personality characteristics of the original in the understanding and more or lessduring the expression manifested.Since the eighties, with the emergence of cultural turn, expanding the field of translation,the new translation theories continue to emerge, people on the translator’s status and role ofthe translator’s subjectivity has a new meaning understanding.This article first Western translation theory and its position in the translator’s subjectivityconcise review of research done, and then, on the Jane Austen’s “Sense and Sensibility” andits two translations do a simple introduction.“Sense and Sensibility” a book is very popular inChina, translated versions of many, but each translator different educational background,social background, language skills, aesthetics, etc., vary between translations. Among them,Wang Jiqing version of Sun Zhili and more popular, therefore, this paper uses a comparativeanalysis of these two versions.Based on the theory of subjectivity translator, translator explores two semanticexpression, cultural information transfer, style interpretation and character representation andother differences, and thus analyzed the translators’ subjectivity factor, the last of What is thetranslator’s subjectivity, the performance of other translators’ subjectivity were summarizedand analyzed, while noting that the translators have different bits treated the same work has a different attitude to translation, translation strategies, etc. roots. The article also pointed outthat the translation is not mechanical convert text; the translators are not a translation machine,but have to create awareness of the subject.
