Research Of Animation Creation Based On The Resources Of Folk Art In Bayu Area

Bayu, Chongqing’s ancient name, which is located in the southwest of China, is thebirthplace of Bayu culture. The special geographical environment, profound culturalbackground and extensive masses foundation give birth to the local rich and colorfulfolk art. The folk art community in Bayu area, the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, isthe most distinctive character. At present, the state-level intangible cultural heritage inbayu area includes zouma town folk tales, Liangping Wood New Year paintings, folksongs, opera, wood hole dragon and other twelve kinds of folk art which cover all kindsof arts, such as folk literature, folk arts, music, dance, art classes and so on. These folkart resources are not only the fertile soil of animation used for reference, but also thetreasure of the Chinese nation.With the development of the times, the traditional folk culture attracts more andmore attention all over the world. In2003, UNESCO adopted the "Convention on theprotection of intangible cultural heritage" and launched the protection of the intangiblecultural heritage. In2007, the17th National Party Congress proposed to strengthen theeducation of the Chinese cultural traditions and develop the rich resources of ournational culture by means of modern science and technology. It also made suggestion tostrengthen the excavation and protection of the national culture and pay more attentionto the protection cultural relics and intangible cultural heritage①. In2011, the eleventhmeeting of the nineteenth NPC Standing Committee meeting is held up. It adopted the"the people’s Republic of China Law on intangible cultural heritage". At present, due tothe establishment of the International Convention and the legal system, the awareness ofprotecting and inherit folk arts is improving and researches on the folk art by the expertsand scholars at home and abroad are increasing. However, the study of folk art andanimation creation of Bayu area is temporarily blank. With the purpose of creating localfolk art and protecting national arts in Bayu area, the author attempts to combine the artwith the animation creation to make the Animation works having the heritage of culture.At the same time, it promotes the development and heritage of the folk art.The application of the folk art to the animation creation is the foundation ofChinese animation development. In this study, the folk art of Bayu area is as the study object and the art is as the basic platform. Film studies, folklore, history and othersubjects are conjunctively multi-dimensional studied. By the analysis and summarizesof the application status and tendency of the present stage of folk art in animation, thefeasibility analysis of application of folk art in Bayu area to animation creation isconducting. The following work is made. Integrate the folk art resources in Bayu area,including folk art, folk music, folk dance, folk custom and so on, and extract elementsfrom them for the animation creation. Attempt to find the integrating point betweenFolk art and animation production and propose a practical method for the animationcreation.
