The Study On Foucault’s Power Theory

This article is a comprehensive study on Foucault’s power theory, involved in all levels of Foucault’s power theory, including the relationship among power, knowledge and body. The first introduced the notions of power in the traditional sense of the representative of an eradication force, and the contrast of Foucault’s concept of power which means a productive and creative power. Then the relationship between power and knowledge, that is the truth of political science, and the five important proposition of power reveals the special attributes of Foucault’s concept of power, reversed the relationship between knowledge and power, emphasized power to produce knowledge and there is a certain inherent relationship, there is a close relationship between knowledge of power. Then, the relations of power and body calls bio-politics, it describes two main techniques of power, one is constraint technology, the other is sex-technology, the former acting on the object, the latter plays a role on the body of the person."Discipline and Punish" described the constraint technology and emphasized its three modes which is level monitoring, standard evaluation and inspection; while "The History of Sexuality, Volume Ⅰ reflects the sex-technology. In the technologies section focuses on the analysis of sexual behavior, the relationship between the draw with the knowledge of expression, the emphasis is science, and the relationship between sex and power is to reveal behavior, emphasizing the power. Integrated these two technologies, extends to the relationship among power, knowledge, and body, known as the sexuality of the deployment. And then come to the conclusion, the sexuality of the deployment is a control tool which services for the capitalist society and makes interests for the bourgeoisie.
