From the perspective of memory training, the writer of the thesis analyses the influence of memory training on interpretation with the research method of contrastive analysis, qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis. The main purpose of the thesis is to study whether memory training will help to enhance the quality of interpretation. The writer find that memory training can promote the interpreter’s memory, their listening skill, oral English proficiency, reaction capacity and interpreting competence through conducting the memory training to six students of Tianjin University of Technology majoring in Master of Translation and Interpreting, as well as the analysis of their audios. The unique part of the thesis lies in its practicalness. All the studies results come from the genuine data analysis of six volunteers’ memory training. In the end, based on the problems encountered in the process of training, the thesis provides rewardable advice and provoking thought to those who want to study the relationship between interpreting and memory training.
