The advent of classic novel "a dream of Red Mansions", which was wriiten morethan200years ago, has a great impact on later literature. For hundreds of years,there have emerged a large number of the "red flavor" in the description of thecontent, narrative style and transfer value works. Although the elder ancestor-CaoXueqin’s "Dream of Red Mansions" has always been imitated, but never beenexceeded, however, there are some excellent works, such as "Flowers of Shanghai"Tale of Heroes "in the late Qing Dynasty,"home" Moment in Peking "Noble Family"in the Republic of China era. In modern times,"A Dream of Red Mansions" isbecoming more and more classic, more writers start to learn from it to earn ownwriting nutrients. Wang Anyi is a writer who has always maintained a strongcreative force in contemporary literature, she is also very good at draining oftraditional culture, her new work "Tianxiang" has been evaluated by critics thatthere is a lot of writing style of "Red Mansions” in it, and read quite a" Red House"flavor. This topic try to make a comparative study of "Tianxiang" and "A Dream ofRed Mansions", analysis the inheritance and alienation of all aspects which thelatter on the former, treat it as representation, and talk about How should we learnfrom the ancient classic works in conjunction with other works in the contemporarynovel writing.This topic takes Wang’s new work "Tianxiang" as origin, and "Dream of RedMansions" as reference, make a comprehensive and detailed comparison, analysisof the similarities and differences between the two, then combines with Wang Anyiand other contemporary literary writers’work, reflections on "Tianxiang" which isworth to draw lessons from the meaning to today’s novel creation. This article ismainly consists of three parts: A Summary of the first chapter of topics of origin andresearch methods, pave the way for later direct comparison of "Tianxiang" and"Dream of Red Mansions". Chapter II, Chapter III is the main parts of this passage,discuss the similarities in the differences and the differences in the same of the twobooks respectively. The second chapter firstly looks for similar points of "Tianxiang"and "Dream of Red Mansions": on the set of characters and plot,"Tianxiang" take the family character network as the "Dream of Red Mansions", take the femalecharacters of the family as the center, and timely introduce the outside charactersand their unique vision. The plot area paraded across the history of the rise and fallof the "Dream of Red Mansions", take key plots as scene, and adopts the method ofreference land to pave the way for the later parts; then look at the description ofthe Arts and Humanities,"Tianxiang" generally becomes a classical encyclopediatheas "A Dream of Red Mansions", it comes to embroidery art, clothing, utensils,gadgets, painting and calligraphy, cuisine, architecture, gardening, especially onpeople and social customs, showing the school of antique; then look at thelanguage and narrative style,"Tianxiang" brings the writing style of "Dream of RedMansions" into play to the extreme, the language seeks to classical elegance, skillful,and pay attention to the narration of the environment as well as the details of thedescription. The third chapter explores the differences between "Tianxiang" and"Dream of Red Mansions":First is the structural rules and layout, main characters inthe center and secondary characters around, the background of history and modernabstract brushwork in "Tianxiang" is all different from the "Dream of RedMansions";In addition, due to the birth of different historical era and socialcontext,there are differences in ideological existence of classical and modern, nobleand civilian. After comparison of both positive and negative, the appearance andcharm of this work has got a general summed up. The fourth chapter put forward anew proposition: the enlightenment of Wang Anyi to the creation of modern novels,take"Tianxiang"as example, briefly talk about the innovation of history theme intoday’s novels and the reference of conventional form etc..
