With the prosperity of real state, the name of buildings constantly innovtate, and attractresearcher of various circles for its unique charm. This paper takes1068names ofChang-Zhu-Tan Cluster’s residential buildings which gathered from March-May,2010as thesubject. Describe and analyze completely and systematicallymainly them from phonology,lexicology, grammar, rhetorics, culture and standardization through methods of combinationof description and induction, quantitative analysis and quanlitative analysis. Discuss thecommonalities and the differences of the name of Chang-Zhu-Tan Cluster’s residentialbuildings by comparision, in order to be a valuable reference for property developers.This paper analyzes features of names of Chang-Zhu-Tan Cluster’s residential buildingsfrom the perspective of languistics. More specifically speaking, it includes phonetics,vocabulary and rhetoric. In phonetics part, we analyze the syllables, syllabletimed rhythm andtonal patterns. In vocabulary part, we use charts to tabulate the general names which be usedfrequently and summed up its characteristics. In grammar part, we classify them on the basisof their structure types and discusses the ambiguous structure with semantics. In rhetoricpart,Then we analyze the.We discuss the influence from traditional Chinese naturalphilosophy, Confucianism in Chinese culture part, way of thing and the current social popularculture of China as well as from material culture and mental culture in Hunan culture part.Atlast, we discuss the standardization of Chang-Zhu-Tan Cluster’s residential buildings. Thereare problems such as foreignizational orientation, failing to live up to the name, having manynames and ideographic fuzzy in them which need to be standardized.
