This article studies the “Native Land” narration in contemporary novels since the1990s and explores the changes of identity imagination. On the basis of the culturalstudies, sociology, psychology, as well as “the archaeology of knowledge” of the study,the article put the identity imagination of the “native land” narration into the field ofthe particular era, politics and literature to explore the relationship between “nativeland” narration and the identity imagination. The study is different from that of literaryworks, genre, theme, thoughts, characters and other aspects of the research.Based on the novel text reading, the article focuses on the narrative subject andnarrative object of the identity imagination of “native land” narration, in Chinesecontemporary literary paradigm of the statute, and under the more broad and variblecircumstance with doing macro considerations about the identity imagination of“native land” narration and attempts to grasp the dynamic in theory.Firstly, in the context of “After-Reform” era,there appears a trend, he narrativesubject of culture identity rendering out from the “Pastoral” to “go homes”, in this aphenomenon behind implied with described main of culture position has occurred,showed a trend of the changes from the “native land flavor” to “urban and ruralrhythm”, which further leaded to the main culture review or value judgment hasemerged the complicated of situation from the “native discourse” to “position tangled”.Whether it is to examine the subjects of cultural identity, cultural position, or culturalperspective constitutes the main kernel of the identity imagination of “native land”narratives since1990.Secondly, influenced by the western commercial capital pouring into China andglobalization trend, the identity of the narrative object changed from the single identityof farmers to diversity, and the resulting evolution of its identity, from “native holder”to the “urban movent”. On this basis it, also brought inherent fissile the identity ofnarrative object: the alienation of the traditional culture or the return of the spiritualemotion? The diversify, development and fissile or the identity of the narrative subject enriched the identity imagination of the “native land” narrative subject since1990s.Finally, the thesis put forward several considerations raised in this article. Theidentity imagination of “native land” narrative, is actually the identity issues presentedby the “native land” narrative and changes of times. So that the identity imagination of“native land” narrative can embody the reconstruction of subjectivity.To some degree, the “native land” narrative in the fictions are the culturalfacteristics of Chinese contemporary social development since1990s. The identity of“native land” narratives has been “atomized” in the “afterwars innovation” era contextand discourse conventions, which alienated mainstream discourse system in theprocess of the exploration. The article based on the reading of contemporary novel textas it can, on the “native land” narrative identity of an “Archaeology of knowledge”,which is “native land” as a discourse mode of literary narration, and to participate inthe current “native” reconstruction of the text of novel in the process of exploration.The significance and value of this study attemped to explore diverse comprehensiveperspectives, and provides a new reseach method and perspectives to the “native land”narrative research, attempting to contruct a new research paradigm.
