European Renaissance has its ideological and cultural magnificent splendid hasattracted worldwide attention, the Renaissance in the transformation of Europe from theMiddle Ages to the modern era, a feudal civilization break open Europe at theideological level,a new ideas and expanded in many fields of knowledge, science andtechnology, humanities and social elite cultural movement. This magnificentRenaissance is from Italy, while the Italian Renaissance performance in many areas, themost prosperous, very prominent achievements.Mercenaries, either from a professional identity up speaking, or to talk from amilitary institutional level, it is the indeed exist, and affect all aspects of society, thenpeople are not engaged in this occupationashamed, but that is a very noble andhonorable profession, especially in the aristocracy, and therefore such a mercenarycareer, this mercenary phenomenon in Western Europe, in particular, the performance ofthe head in Renaissance Italy.For this problem, the Chinese and foreign historians bothinvolved, or a word or two, or focus on one aspect of a period of mercenaries. Thispaper attempts to make a more comprehensive analysis of Renaissance Italianmercenary phenomenon from the perspective of economic, political, military, cultural,and better for readers to understand this history.This article is divided in two parts of the introduction and body. The Introductionsection introduces the significance of the topic, the definition of the mercenary system,and academic research on Renaissance Italian mercenary phenomenon, characteristicsof the topics of research, innovation and arrangement of the chapters. Body part consistsof four parts, the first part introduces the mercenaries history and Renaissance Italiancity-states country profiles, analysis of ancient Greece, the history of post-RomanEmpire and the Italian city-state. The second part introduces the Renaissance Italianmercenary phenomenon of social background, a comprehensive analysis of theexistence of this phenomenon is necessary and its significance from the point of view ofthe political, economic, military, cultural. The third part introduces the relationshipbetween the Italian city-states monarch mercenary captain. The fourth section describesthe role of the Italian Renaissance mercenary phenomenon and its value and significance. The concluding part of the objective summary of mercenaries andmercenary in Renaissance Italy in the post-modern form of expression.
